Tim Crossland of Great Britain,
and Melissa Todd of Manhattan were the overall winners of the
men's and women's 10K during the 2007 St. Patrick's Day Road Races
March 17 in Manhattan. Crossland, part of a British contingent
stationed at nearby Fort Leavenworth, won in 33:33.18. Todd clocked
38:10.51 for a nearly two-minute victory. In the two mile Fun Run,
Rustyn Krebs of Tampa, Kan.(11:52.80) and Audrey

Earlier the same day, in Tikrit, Iraq,
more than 500 soldiers ran in a "sister race" to Manhattan's St.
Patrick's Day Road Races (pictured at left). Combined with the 1,070 who ran in
Manhattan, this was the largest St. Patrick's Day Road Race in the
29 years of the race. In Tikrit, the individual winners were
SSG Bryan Caldwell (37:25 for 10K) and LTCDR Seiko Okano (45:22).
