Start of the St. Pat's 10K Road Race

Awards Ceremony, door prizes and free BBQ

30th Annual
St. Patrick's Day Road Races

March 15, 2008 in Manhattan, Kansas!

More than 950 runners and walkers lined up under overcast skies for the 30th annual St. Patrick's Day Races in Manhattan. Joe Moore and Julie Thornton were the overall male and female winners in the 10K race; while Ross McDonald and Cajsa Larson won the 2 mile Fun Run titles.

RACE DIRECTOR Carrie Snyder has been running for enjoyment and health for the past decade. In 2007, Carrie helped form the Little Apple Road Runners Club, which supports running and walking in the Manhattan area.

Pat Melgares, lead timer, was the race director from 2005-2007. He is the President of the Manhattan Cross Country Club, which provides age-appropriate distance running opportunities for youth.
