Third Annual
Body First School Fitness Challenge

Come join the fun...and win cash for your school!

The 3rd Annual School Fitness Challenge will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2 at beautiful Warner Park in Manhattan, Kansas. Kids races begin at 9 a.m.

Last year, approximately 640 school children participated in the Manhattan School Fitndess Challenge at Warner Park. (Click here to see last year's summary and results).

This year, the Manhattan Cross Country Club joins forces with local sponsors to offer $4,500 in prize money to local schools. For the first time ever, the Manhattan Cross Country Club will be able to give money to every school in Manhattan to help them with fitness-related activities or equipment.

Schools with 25 participants or more automatically get $100.

Additional money will be awarded to the top four schools for the most total participants, and the highest percentage of participants (based on their Fall 2010 enrollment).

And, the Manhattan Cross Country Club will make available $200 to five schools who are able to provide 20 volunteers to help us pull off this big event!!

The format allows all schools -- big and small -- an opportunity to win money to boost fitness-related programs. (In 2010, cash prizes are available only to schools in Manhattan. And, schools are eligible to win cash prizes in one category -- total participants or highest percentage.)
