Come join the fun...and win cash for your school!

The 2nd Annual School Fitness Challenge will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19 at beautiful Warner Park in Manhattan, Kansas. Kids races begin at 9 a.m.

Last year, approximately 380 school children participated in the first-ever Manhattan School Fitness Challenge at Warner Park. (Click here to see last year's summary and results)

This year, the Manhattan Cross Country Club joins forces with local sponsors to offer $2,000 in prize money to local schools. $500 first place awards will go to the school with the most kids participating, and and additional $500 to the school with the highest percentage of kids participating. $300 will be awarded for second place in each category, and $200 for third.

The format allows all schools -- big and small -- an opportunity to win money to boost fitness-related programs.

Contact your school's P.E. teacher for more information. Also, a representative of each school's PTO or PTA will be collecting entries and money leading up to Sept. 19. More information may be available at your school's main office.

An event brochure will be posted on this site when it is available. Check for updates at www.LetsGoRun.com.

This event is made possible by the generosity of our title sponsor, Body First Sports Therapy of Manhattan, and the following co-sponsors:
