All participants in the Open 5K receive a race t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Results will be announced as soon as possible after the last runner finishes. Results also will be posted day of the race at www.LetsGoRun.com

Cross Country Festival

447 runners competed in this year's event -- a record by a whopping 300 runners over last year's event.

Here's the complete race-by-race results. Note that age-specific Fun Runs begin together, and the results do not separate kids on the event they are running (for example, 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile for the K-2 runners).

K-2 Heat 1 (no times kept; this heat was only for 1/4 mile runners)
K-2 Heat 2 (no times kept; 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile. Results are not separated for 1/2 milers)

Grades 3-5 (Timed 1/2 mile and 1 mile. Results are not separated.)

  • 1/2 mile winners: Male -- Luke Grieger, 3:44.34; Female -- Hannah Kordyak, 4:18.

  • 1 mile winners: Male -- Jackson Schroeder, 6:40.17; Sydney Wise-Smith, 6:57.03.

Grades 6-8 (Timed 1 and 2 mile races. Results are not separated)

  • 1 mile winners: Male -- Zane Hayden, 6:25.52; Female -- Alexis Wilson, 7:31.73

  • 2 mile winners: Male -- Evan Smith, 11:08.42; Female -- Megan Ochoa, 11:52.28

SCHOOL FITNESS CHALLENGE RESULTS
These results are NOW OFFICIAL as of Sept 25, 2008, after confirming Fall '08 enrollment counts with USD383.

Schools are eligible to win cash prizes in one category only. Awards will be given based on the highest cash prize won by a school. If a school wins the same prize in both categories, the prize will be given for overall participants.

DIRECTIONS TO
WARNER PARK

Warner Park is located just west of Manhattan on Highway 18.

If coming from the east on I-70, take exit 313 north to Manhattan.

After crossing the bridge, take the exit right to Tuttle Creek Blvd./Ft. Riley Blvd. and turn right to go around the south edge of  Manhattan.

Continue on Ft. Riley Blvd. (which turns into K-18 Hwy) traveling west past the Clarion Hotel approximately 1.1  miles, just past mile marker 188 to Miller Parkway and turn right.

Turn right again at Warner Park Road and follow it into Warner Park.

If coming from the west on I-70, take exit 303 north and east to Manhattan. Stay on K-18 past the airport and golf course until .9 mile past mile marker 187 and turn left on Miller Parkway.
